We often think of eating disorders and other food issues as a young, white female issue and neglect the many, many men who struggle with various forms of disordered eating and eating disorders. In this episode, we talk with Andrew Walen, LCSW-C and author of the book Man Up to Eating Disorders about his personal experiences as well as his wisdom as an eating disorder therapist and owner of the Body Image Therapy Center. Men struggle too, and this episode aims to provide a tribe and community for men who suffer from eating disorders and disordered eating patterns.

This is a very insightful and important read that brings much-needed attention to a perspective that is often overlooked in discussions about eating disorders. The way you explained the topic was very clear and helpful. I recently came across a similar discussion on a review blog, and it offered an interesting perspective as well. In between these kinds of health awareness conversations, I also noticed how clinics like https://www.sherwaytrilliumdental.ca/ are often mentioned in the context of patient-centered care and overall well-being, which connects well with the broader theme of supporting both physical and mental health.
