We are thrilled to announce that the dietitians at Positive Nutrition are contracted with Select Health!

Before I opened the doors of Positive Nutrition in 2014, I tried to figure out how I could become in-network with Select Health. I called, I researched, I tried and tried and was told no at every turn. From there, I decided my practice would be a self-pay practice because insurance seemed impossible to work with.

Fast forward to 2019: I decided I wanted to work with insurance and started the process with all the major carriers in the Salt Lake are: Regence BCBS, U of U (including Medicaid), Cigna, United, PEHP, DMBA. It was such a good experience to start billing insurances instead of our individual clients and I realized that having an insurance-based practice is actually a big part of my values and mission. So, I renewed my efforts to try again with Select Health.

We started the process in February 2024 and by the end of July 2024 we finally signed our contract! It's been a long time coming.

We all eat. Some of us suffer from diseases and/or food-related disorders and illnesses and having specialized support with food and your relationship with it can truly be life changing. I don't think that nutrition therapy should only be for those who can pay out of pocket: I believe that this type of care should be accessible to all.

Most insurance companies will pay for at least a few sessions with a registered dietitian, with or without a diagnosis. Many pay for indefinite visits and many pay 100% of the cost. We have insurance scripts you can use to verify your benefits before ever stepping foot in our clinic. We're here to help in any way we can and we're so thrilled to serve more people in the Salt Lake Valley as Select Health providers!

How Better Nutrition and Academic Support Go Hand in Hand for Malaysian Students

When Positive Nutrition recently announced its partnership with Select Health, it highlighted a growing trend—students and professionals alike are prioritising wellness to perform better in all areas of life. This is especially relevant for students in Malaysia, who are juggling academic pressure, part-time jobs, and personal commitments.

Proper nutrition plays a vital role in enhancing focus, reducing stress, and boosting memory—key ingredients for academic success. But mental clarity alone isn’t always enough when deadlines pile up and subjects get complex. That’s where expert academic support becomes invaluable.

This is such a fantastic milestone for Positive Nutrition and a major win for accessible healthcare! It’s inspiring to see how persistence and values-driven goals can lead to real change in how services are delivered. Just like how nutrition therapy should be accessible to all, support in other areas—such as academic challenges—should also be within reach, which is why resources like Assignment Help Canberra can make a meaningful difference. Congrats on becoming in-network with Select Health!
